This trailer has a modern look about it but it is in fact a British design that was used during WW2. For an apparently simple looking piece of equipment, the kit is pleasingly busy, with complete underpinnings, leaf springs and movable steering.The subtle wood texture on the deck and nicely tooled wheels make this a very appealing accessory, ideal for hitching up behind Resicast's Bedford QLD truck. www.resicastcom

Focke Wulf Fw190D-9 Detail Set (Aires 2031) For Hasegawa kit. Extensive set with major surgery required to accommodate the mass of exquisite resin parts including full cockpit, engine, wheel and gun bays, and more. Not the for the faint hearted, but will yield spectacular results. Focke Wulf Fwl 90D-9 engine set (Aires 2019) For Hasegawa kit. A less complex but just as challenging set for the above kit, containing 'just' the engine and its mounts, plus firewall and cowling guns.
Heinkel He162A-2 Cockpit and Wheel Bay (Aires 2027) For Revell kit. This set provides a new cockpit tub and undercarriage bay plus a heap of other highly useful items for Revell's superb Volksjager.
Bf109G-6 Detail Set (Aires 2008) For Hasegawa kit. This completely updates the major internal areas of this excellent kit with a stunning Daimler Benz DB605 engine and full cowlings detail on the inside as well as outside surfaces.The radio compartment is gorgeous and includes a fully appointed bulkhead, much of which is hidden inside the fuselage! Complex and fabulous. Bf109G-6 Engine Set (Aires 2017) For Hasegawa kit. As with 2019, this'simpler' set provides the engine and associated structures, but is still a major modelling project for experienced builders. Focke Wulf Fw190A-8 (Aires 2039) For Hasegawa kit. A relatively easy way to spruce up the U/C bay of this kit with an impressive resin casting and no photo-etched parts.

Available from; www.grandprixmodels.com Tyre stencils may have been available for various scales of cars for some time, but this item from Acu.Stion is the first we have seen in the TMMI offices for 1:12 bike kits. Etched to replicate the early Michelin Pilot sidewall detail with careful use will provide a far better result than using the familiar decals that appear in kits.The added bonus is that the stencils life should be long as it can simply be cleaned off with thinners after use. Bargain.

Focke Wulf Fw190A-3 Detail Set (Aires 4215) ForTamiya kit. This boxful of parts provides enough to virtually re-construct the front end of Tamiya's A-3 and will require diligent and precise work the saw and scalpel to ensure everything fits, but as the photograph on the boxtop attests, the results can be magnificent. P-51B/C Detail Set (Aires 4215) ForTamiya kits. As with the Fw190A-3 set, this contains enough resin components to nearly replace the whole of the Mustang's nose, cockpit, undrcarriage housings and more, and comes with deliceously thin cowling castings. P-51B/C Engine Set (Aires 4215) ForTamiya kits. Again,'just' the engine here, but more than enough to keep a skilled modeller busy for quite some time.. A beautiful rendition of a Packard built Merlin.
P-51D Engine Set (Aires 4252) ForTamiya kit. As above, but for the 'blown' hooded D model Mustang.

Raybrig NSX 2005
Here we have exclusive previews of two of Tamiya's forthcoming kits. Firstly the Raybrig NSX 2005. This is modelled on the car raced last season in the Super GT series, a championship run mainly on the Japanese mainland. Our early test shot came as just the plastic mouldings and metal under chassis and from what we can see. construction seems to follow the pattern set by their last Super GT kit, the Zanavi Nismo Z. The NSX is a kerbside model, so no engine detail but what is there looks very nice indeed. The body moulding in particular looks to carry the lines of this highly aggressive GT racer perfectly and while the die-cast underpanel could be construed as removing a lot of the undersurface detail and simplifying the suspension, it can also be argued that most of the underside of the real car is covered by carbon fibre panels anyway rendering most components hidden! The moulding quality looks good and the finished production will undoubtedly build into a fine kerbside model. •
D'Antin Pramac Ducati
This new Ducati kit will be strongly familiar to anyone who has built the Desmosedici MotoGP kit as we featured in TMM1 issue 123. As we noted in our review, this is a superb kit and Tamiya now have produced the d'Antin version, the bike ridden by Robby Rolfo in the 2005 season. The main change is the decal sheet which captures the livery perfectly, including the chrome finish race numbers. However the decal sheet isn't the only update, new tyre decals also feature to correctly mark them for the Dunlop rubber the d'Antin team ran on and a new small E parts sprue is included to correctly depict the brake callipers. This gives the correct Nissin manufactured callipers as opposed to the original kit's items which were Brembo. But the best bit is the decal and livery. Whilst the works bike may look purposeful in its all over red scheme, the d'Antin colours look so much more interesting, just check out those Hawaiian flowers! •
